FAILSAFE ”Peanut” Noodles (Nut-Free)
Made with WOWBUTTER, these FAILSAFE ”peanut” noodles are reminiscent of the real thing. They are incredibly flavorful and are a nice change of pace from our usual.
I’ve been thinking about how to use WOWBUTTER in a recipe ever since I learned that it’s FAILSAFE. I was a huge peanut butter junkie pre-FAILSAFE and used to it eat on a daily basis. Not being able to eat it any more was a huge blow.
One thing I used to make A LOT back in the day was Peanutty Noodles. It was my husbands favorite dish, so it was in heavy rotation from the beginning. Needless to say, he was a bit sad to not be able to enjoy it now.
This version of FAILSAFE ”Peanut” Noodles doesn’t quite compete with the OG Peanutty Noodles (it really isn’t the same without the soy sauce and sriracha) BUT it was still a burst of flavor and a fun change of pace from our usual. The husband was happy to enjoy his beloved dish again and added a dollop of sriracha in his because he can.
One note about this version: I am able to tolerate some moderate salicylates like carrots, so have added carrot shreds to mine. If you’re needing to be strict FAILSAFE or cannot tolerate salicylates at all, stick with shredded cabbage or another vegetable from the low column.
