Description

Ingredients
  • 1 1/2 cup sushi rice (rinsed)
  • 3/4 cup lentils (small green or brown)
  • 1/4 cup chopped leeks
  • 2 cup FAILSAFE broth and/or water (4 cups broth or water for stovetop)
  • 1/2 tsp salt
Instructions
    Rice Cooker Directions:
  1. Add sushi rice and lentils into the basin of your rice cooker or a medium pot and rinse thoroughly. Drain. Add in chopped leeks, broth and/or water, and salt. Add bowl back into your rice cooker and cook according to your machines instructions.

  2. Stovetop Directions
  3. Stovetop directions: In a medium pot, bring your broth or water plus salt to a boil. Add in rice, lentils, and leeks and reduce heat to a simmer. Cover and let cook for 15-20 minutes or until all of the water has been absorbed. Remove from heat and let sit for 5 minutes before fluffing with a fork.

  4. Serve warm!
